We originally purchased the 90L board based upon the company’s recommendation. It is rated for riders up to 286 pounds. I am 6 feet 2” and tip the scales at 250 pounds. However when I get on the 90L board I sink the board under the water. The board has sensors that will not allow you to accelerate if the nose is pointing down under the water. I became frustrated trying to learn how to efoil and felt like this might be a waste of money for me. Since all of the Waydoo parts are interchangeable i decided to purchased the 130L board and it has been a game changer. I am able to get on the board without completely sinking it and able to start off with no issues. After a few sessions i am able to stand on the board and ride. If you are a beginner and/or a rider over 200 pounds I highly recomend the 130L board and just ignore the Waydoo advice.
