What Is an Underwater Scooter?
An underwater scooter, also called a sea scooter or DPV, is a compact motorized device that helps you move through the water with less effort. Waydoo's Subnado lineup is built for people who want easier snorkeling, freediving, scuba diving, and paddle board sessions, with different models focused on portability, all-around use, or extra thrust.
How to Choose the Right Waydoo Underwater Scooter
The best model depends on how you plan to use it:
- Subnado Lite — If you want a compact, travel-friendly option for casual water use.
- Subnado Standard — If you want a stronger all-around choice for regular snorkeling, diving, and everyday use.
- Subnado Plus — If you want more power, more thrust, and higher speed.
- Subnado SUP Kit — If your main goal is paddle board power assist.
All current Subnado models are rated to IP68 and 60 m depth.

Travel and Battery Notes
Waydoo's 98Wh models are airline-friendly for carry-on travel. Subnado Plus uses a 144Wh battery, which is still travel-ready, but batteries in the 101–160Wh range may require airline approval depending on the carrier. Check with your airline before you fly.
